MANILA, Philippines — P-pop Kings SB19 are levelling up the definition of pregaming by paying a visit to the Grammy Museum a couple of days before a historic performance at Lollapalooza.

The local act will be the first homegrown Filipino act to perform at the popular Chicago music festival, taking one of the event's biggest stages for an hour on July 30.

Before heading to Chicago though, SB19 will be in Los Angeles for the Grammy Museum's "Global Spin Live" series on July 28 for a special performance and to discuss their upcoming music and career, among other topics.

The Grammy Museum labelled the Filipino group as "one of the most influential acts in Southeast Asian music" and "the pioneers of modern P-pop," among several milestones including how performing at Lollapalooza  "further strengthens their global prominence and Filipino representation."

SB19's sold-out "Global Spin Live" event will be hosted by fellow musical artist Emily Mei, who previously moderated the session for another P-pop group BINI when they appeared on the series last April.

At the time, BINI had just performed two weekends at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, a first for any P-pop and homegrown Filipino act.

Before flying out to the United States, SB19 will headline the OPMCON Generations concert on July 11.

Two weeks after Lollapalooza, SB19, as well as BINI, will head over to Japan for this year's Summer Sonic Festival happening simultaneously in Chiba and Osaka.

That will happen in the middle of BINI's "Signals" world tour North America leg, in between shows in San Diego, United States and Vancouver, Canada.
