MANILA, Philippines — Japan's Summer Sonic Festival has unveiled the stage allocations for participating artists this year, which include P-pop groups SB19 and BINI.
The annual Japanese festival, marking its silver edition this 2026, is held simultaneously in Chiba and Osaka, bringing international artists closer to the Japanese people.
SB19 was first announced to participate in the event, performing on Day 2 of the Chiba leg on August 15 headlined by Ado and David Byrne.
BINI, off the heels of a historic Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival performance, followed, being scheduled to perform Day 1 of the Osaka leg on August 14 and Day 3 of the Chiba leg on October 16.
With three months to go until the 2026 festival, organizers have now revealed which stages the P-pop Kings and the Nation's Girl Group have been assigned to.
SB19 will be on the Pacific Stage in Chiba along with Mazzel, Generations, Humbe, Midnight Til Morning and Kento Nakajima.
BINI, meanwhile, will be on the Mountain Stages for both days with headliner Jamiroquai, Tatsuya Kitani, Nectar Woode, Sekou, Boy Soda and Flowerovlove.
The only differences between the lineups is Carín León joining BINI on Osaka Day 1 and Suchmos on Chiba Day 3.
The two Summer Sonic performances will take place in the middle of North America leg of BINI's "Signals" world tour, which begins next month.
BINI will have a show in San Diego, California on August 8, fly over to Japan, then head out again for a show in Vancouver, Canada on August 18 — two days after the Chiba performance.
Two weeks before Summer Sonic, SB19 will be coming from Lollapalooza in Chicago, marking the first appearance at that musical festival by a homegrown Filipino act.
