Sara Duterte slams new impeachment complaint as budget ‘bargaining chip’

MANILA, Philippines — Vice President Sara Duterte on Monday slammed yet another impending impeachment complaint against her from the Bagong Alyansang Makabayan (Bayan), calling it a “bargaining chip” meant to meddle with the 2026 national budget. In a statement, Duterte said she is not surprised by “some members of the House of Representatives’ plan to
