MANILA, Philippines — The AcroCity-backed Negros Basketball Association (NBA) Legends Cup was nostalgic and successful as former stars of the league took time out to renew kinship with former teammates and rivals on the court.
Excitement reached climax as former San Sebastian College star Django Rivera, University of the East’s Victor Villarias and one-time PBA MVP Kenneth Duremdes sparked Team Azcona-Sapporo to a 90-75 come-from-behind win over AcroCity on Saturday at the Po Hang gym of Tay Tung School in Bacolod City.
The late Dodong Bascon, a known Negros caging patron, was remembered and honored in the event graced by Noli Locsin, Bong Ravena, Vernie Villarias, Arnold Gamboa, Ruel Bravo and Mike Mustre among others.
