Sam Milby guested on Monday's episode of “Fast Talk With Boy Abunda" where he shared what dreams he still has at 40 years old.
According to the actor, he still dreams of having his own family.
“I still dream of having a family. I’m 40, baka maging kagaya ako ng dad ko. He was 49 when I was born. That's not my ideal age,” he said.
He also shared that in past interviews, he would say that he wanted to be a dad at 35-years-old but life doesn't always go as planned.
“But the sad truth is you can make so many plans in life, ideal age, but life doesn't always happen the way you want it to,” he added.
When asked if he is open to the idea of having a child outside of marriage, Sam said he isn’t because he wants it to be a “blessed marriage.”
He admitted that he feels pressured to continue the family name because he is the last person in their family to carry the Milby last name.
“I feel the pressure, honestly, because my last name, Milby, it's not a common last name. I'm the last person to carry on, in my family, to carry on the last name,” Sam shared.
"May dalawang half-brothers, never sila nagka-anak. My sister, obviously, doesn't carry on the name. So, I feel kind of the pressured to carry on the Milby name."
In the same interview, Sam turned emotional as he talked about his breakup with Catriona Gray, admitting it was “rough” and "no breakup is easy."
Sam confirmed his breakup with Catriona in February. The actor told ABS-CBN News that they are no longer together, and that "we're okay."
Sam and Catriona revealed their relationship in 2020, and got engaged in 2023.
Last year, eagle-eyed netizens noticed that Catriona wasn't wearing her engagement ring in her recent posts.
Catriona fueled split rumors after she deleted her engagement photos with Sam.
Cornerstone Entertainment then released a statement saying that Sam and Catriona were "facing some challenges in their relationship."
Sam currently stars with Jennylyn Mercado and Dennis Trillo in the romantic-comedy film "Everything About My Wife," which is now showing in cinemas.
