Fumiya Takahashi is set to star as Shin Asakura in the live action film adaptation of hit anime "Sakamoto Days."
The film's official website on Tuesday released a video and visual for the blonde-haired assassin, who has telepathic powers.
Fumiya joins Ren Meguro, who will play the main character and retired assassin-turned-convenience store owner Taro Sakamoto.
Fumiya recently starred in the "Teasing Master Takagi-san" film as Nishikata and the "Blue Period" film as Ryuji Ayukawa.
Ren, meanwhile, recently starred in the live action film of "My Happy Marriage" as Kiyoka Kudo.
"Sakamoto Days" is based on Yuuto Suzuki's manga of the same name. It was adapted into anime earlier this year.
The story follows Sakamoto, a legendary former assassin who now leads a peaceful life with his wife and daughter. He is dragged back into the world of assassins when a bounty is placed on his head.
Shin looks for him and becomes one of his allies as he tries to protect his family from the assassins hunting him.
