MANILA, Philippines–The PBA decided to move Tuesday’s doubleheader from Ninoy Aquino Stadium to Ynares Center in Antipolo after the Manila sports facility encountered roof leaks during its recent hosting of a Governors’ Cup doubleheader.

The league made the announcement on Sunday, as the first game between Converge and Terrafirma, followed by the nightcap pitting NLEX and TNT, will now be held at the capital city of Rizal province.

The decision also came after Sunday’s twinbill pitting Rain or Shine against Phoenix and the matchup of Barangay Ginebra and Blackwater at Ninoy were postponed due to severe weather conditions brought by the southwest monsoon or “habagat.”

Ninoy experienced a leak while Magnolia and Meralco were about to start the fourth quarter of their game last Friday.

The delay lasted almost an hour before the contest resumed with Magnolia eventually winning, 105-88.

The government-owned stadium has become one of the league’s regular venues since 2024, mostly during the eliminations and select playoff games.

Ynares Antipolo is also a part of the list of regular PBA venues, even hosting a few Finals games in recent seasons.
