In a move to recoup public funds, the Bureau of Customs (BOC) announced a public auction for seven high-value motor vehicles seized from the family of contractors linked to the flood control scandal.
In a BOC notice, the agency said the sealed-bidding event, scheduled for Nov. 17, 2025, aims to liquidate assets with a consolidated minimum floor price of ₱103.6 million.
The BOC auction involves luxury vehicles linked to Sarah and Curlee Discaya, who, through their associated firms, had cornered multi-billion peso flood control contracts from the Department of Public Works and Highways.
The seizure proceedings were initiated after the BOC found severe discrepancies and a lack of proper import entries and duty payments for the fleet, effectively classifying the vehicles as smuggled goods.
The disposal of the cars is a key development in the government's highly publicized anti-smuggling and anti-corruption drive, with proceeds set to be remitted to the national treasury.
The most prominent offering is a 2023 Rolls-Royce Cullinan, commanding a floor price of ₱45.3 million.
Other high-value lots include a 2022 Bentley Bentayga with a floor price of ₱17 million, and a 2022 Mercedes-Benz AMG G63 SUV, starting at ₱14.1 million.
Rounding out the consigned vehicles are: 2023 Toyota Sequoia (₱7.2 million), 2019 Brabus-modified Mercedes-Benz G 500 (₱7.8 million), 2021 Lincoln Navigator L (₱7 million), and a 2022 Toyota Tundra (Floor Price of ₱4.99 million.
The auction is set to take place at 10:00 A.M. at the BOC Situation Room in Port Area, Manila. Interested bidders are reminded that the assets are sold on an “AS IS WHERE IS” basis, and must comply with the terms and conditions set by the BOC and Bureau of Internal Revenue.
