Rhian Ramos used to be a non-believer in marriage, but someone made her change her mind.
On Monday's episode of "Fast Talk With Boy Abunda," the Kapuso actress said she didn't believe in marriage for a long time because her parents are both separated.
"So parang for a long time, naiisip ko na nothing talaga lasts forever. But, ayun, and then parang later on naman, 'yung how I made sense of that. Minsan kasi may naiisip ka as a child, tapos habang while you're growing up, parang jina-justify mo nang jina-justify kung ba't 'yun 'yung pinaniniwalaan mo," Rhian said.
"And so, I just felt like masyado siyang asking too much na to have just that for the rest of your life," she added.
But thanks to her boyfriend Sam Verzosa, her beliefs changed.
"Siguro kung iniisip ko before na nothing lasts forever and it's asking for too much to just have that one person for the rest of your life. Siguro kasi now naiisip ko and the more I get to know him, [Sam] talagang every day I learn something new, I experience something new, and I'm never ever bored because kakaiba eh. I've never met anyone talaga like this," she said.
According to Rhian, she looks forward to talking and being with him all the time.
"Sometimes I see him in so many different ways. Sometimes I see him as this man that is more mature than me, that can teach me things. Sometimes I see him as this little baby that I want to squeeze and take care of. Parang ganun. So, I see him in so many different ways. It's never the same," she said.
"We have a very equal partnership talaga eh. And he's given me so much respect and trust. And ayun nga, parang for me also I've noticed na I've become a better, more mature person. More patient. But ayun, parang I can see myself really taking care of this partnership and doing life with this person," she added.
Rhian and Sam confirmed their relationship at the 2022 GMA Gala when they arrived hand in hand.
The two were subjects of breakup rumors in 2023, but Sam revealed that although they had a rough patch, "We are in love."
In August 2024, the couple celebrated their third anniversary.
Rhian is set to play the role of June in the upcoming movie "Sinagtala" alongside Glaiza De Castro, Matt Lozano, Rayver Cruz, and Arci Muñoz.
According to the Kapuso actress, her role as the drummer in the movie is a dream come true for her 14-year-old self.
"Sinagtala" premieres in cinemas on April 2.
