THE reward for anyone who can provide information leading to the arrest of the suspect in the killing of two police officers on Saturday in Barangay Tambubong, Bocaue, Bulacan, has reached P2.2 million.
During the 1st Quarter Joint Meeting of the Provincial Peace and Order Council, Provincial Anti-Drug Abuse Council and Provincial Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict held on Tuesday, Gov. Daniel Fernando announced an additional P2-million reward to help in the immediate arrest of the suspect identified as alias "Athan."
The two Bocaue policemen were Staff Sergeants Gian Dela Cruz and Dennis Cudiamat, who were both killed in a bloody encounter on Saturday afternoon during a firearm buy-bust operation.
Earlier, Bocaue Mayor JonJon Villanueva and Police Regional Office 3 regional director BGen. Jean Fajardo offered a reward of P100,000 each to anyone who can provide information leading to the arrest of the suspect.
The Bulacan Police Provincial Office (PPO) previously arrested one of the two suspects, alias "Dado," brother of the wanted "Athan," both residents of Barangay Bunsuran, Pandi, Bulacan.

According to Fernando, he has already instructed Bulacan PPO director Col. Satur Ediong to intensify the manhunt operation for the suspect.
