ILOILO CITY — The Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) has turned over nine patrol vehicles to various police stations across Western Visayas to strengthen mobility and law enforcement capabilities, especially in preparation for the upcoming elections.

The Mitsubishi Triton 4x4 units were distributed to police stations in Anilao, Dingle, and San Enrique in Iloilo; Libertad in Antique; and Kalibo, Malay, New Washington, Tangalan, and the 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company, in Aklan.

PRO-6 director BGen. Jack Wanky noted the crucial role these patrol vehicles will play in enforcing the law, particularly during the election period when police visibility and response efforts will be heightened.

He urged police officers to maintain and properly use the patrol vehicles to increase their efficiency, effectiveness, and responsiveness in law enforcement and other public safety services.

"Make them a reflection of a better service [...] Observe also the guidelines for its preventive maintenance and other driving protocols to increase its serviceability," he added.
