(As released) MANILA, Philippines — Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation (RCBC) took home multiple recognitions at the 6th Bank Marketing Awards spearheaded by the Bank Marketing Association of the Philippines (BMAP) and the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP).
The bank was honored for three of its flagship digital solutions: "Best Electronic Channel Program’ for RCBC Pulz", "Best Financial Inclusion Program" for RCBC DiskarTech, and "Best Customer-Centric Product or Service" for Barangayan Banking by RCBC ATM Go.
The bank also clinched the "Best Sustainability Drive" award for its Sustainability Matters Campaign and RCBC x Haribon Partnership.
RCBC showcased the evolution of its digital ecosystem: Pulz as the first digital banking app from a private bank that enables overseas Filipinos to open accounts using an international number and just one valid ID; ATM Go as the country’s largest grassroots-oriented and bank-agnostic ATM network as well as Southeast Asia’s first manual cash withdrawal service for Mastercard and VISA debit cardholders; and DiskarTech as the world’s first sustainable financial super app available in Taglish and Cebuano.
The bank also highlighted its collaborations with the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) and the Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO) to advance digital financial literacy among overseas workers; the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) to broaden access to alternative banking solutions; and the Social Security System (SSS) to integrate digital banking with social protection programs.
RCBC Executive Vice President and Chief Innovations and Inclusion Officer Lito Villanueva thanked the teams behind the award-winning platforms, emphasizing how each solution reflects the bank’s mission anchored on sustainable finance.
“Each of these wins reflects RCBC’s purposeful development of its banking solutions. Our end goal is not just to deliver solutions from cities to the last mile, but for people to feel and see the transformative impact of banking on their lives and communities. RCBC Pulz, RCBC DiskarTech, and RCBC ATM Go are designed not to follow trends but to meet real needs and realize real dreams,” Villanueva said.
The BMAP is an organization of banking and related financial institutions that seeks to upgrade the practice of bank marketing in the country. It works closely with the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) and other industry associations to undertake programs and activities that enhance and promote the welfare of the banking industry and its customers.
