The start of a new year often prompts people to reassess their priorities, from daily routines to long-term financial plans. For many, this includes finding simpler, safer, and more efficient ways to manage money. As digital banking becomes an essential part of everyday life, customers expect their banking platforms to keep pace with their changing needs.
Entering 2026, RCBC Pulz responds to these expectations with new capabilities designed to improve security, expand financial access, and make everyday banking more convenient.
RCBC’s flagship digital banking application will introduce “Lucky Eight” key enhancements alongside additional service improvements scheduled for rollout this January. Each update is grounded in customer feedback and aligned with the bank’s commitment to secure, efficient, and accessible digital banking.
Here are the eight features you should watch out for in Q1 2026:
- Fraud Risk Initiatives: One Device, One User and OTP-less Verifications — To reinforce account security, Pulz will require each account to be linked to a single registered device. This measure helps reduce unauthorized access and enables more effective monitoring of account activity. Complementing this new security feature is Pulz’s shift from SMS-based OTPs to push notifications on smartphones powered by biometric login features.
- Bigger and More Investment Options — In addition to existing UITF offerings, Pulz will introduce more investment products to support a wider range of financial goals. These options are designed to help customers grow their funds over time, whether for short-term planning or long-term wealth building.
- Digital Motorcycle Loan Applications: Pulz will expand its lending services to include motorcycle loans, providing a more accessible financing option for customers seeking reliable transportation. This feature supports commuters in key urban areas such as Metro Manila, Metro Cebu and Metro Davao.
- Access to Elevated Loan Products — InstaLoan: Built upon the accessibility and success of its current loan products and services, Pulz is introducing InstaLoan this year to give users a new loan service line that is instant and convenient.
- Real-time Redemption of Reward Points earned from Credit Card Usage: Pulz is putting its loyal credit card users at the center this 2026 by allowing all to redeem rewards accumulated from credit card transactions and purchases.
- Joint OR Account Digital Access & Management — With this update, each joint account holder can independently enroll and securely access their shared account on Pulz via web or mobile. Users will be able to view account details, monitor balances and transactions, and receive real-time notifications without relying solely on the primary account holder.
- Launch of the Igloo Insurance and a Bigger Insurance Marketplace: Reflecting the success of DiskarTech’s insurance marketplace for all Filipinos, Pulz is set to offer an embedded digital insurance experience in partnership with leading regional insurtech firm, Igloo. This integration will provide users with an added layer of security and peace of mind as they engage in digital banking activities.
- Updated Hexagon and Wealth Dashboard: With the surging popularity of the Hexagon Club and its investment products, RCBC is curating its dashboard to include an elevated New Hexagon and Wealth Dashboard. This allows users to control their accounts while enjoying all of its benefits from the comfort of their fingertips. Hexagon Club Priority members enjoy unlimited FREE Instapay fund transfers via RCBC Pulz, while Hexagon Club Privilege members have two (2) free Instapay transfers every month, ensuring convenient and cost-efficient access to real-time fund transfers across banks.
In 2025, RCBC became the first bank in the Philippines to offer U.S. virtual accounts in partnership with Meridian, a leading US-based provider of real-time global payments networking. The joint innovation allows RCBC customers to open and manage a US virtual account directly through the RCBC Pulz app, no US address, social security number, or residency required.
RCBC is also the first bank to mark a landmark partnership with the Social Security System (SSS) for the launch of the MySSS Card powered by RCBC DiskarTech, which functions both as a valid government ID and a fully operational savings account. The MySSS card simplifies benefits disbursement, enables seamless withdrawals, bill payments, and transfers, and coming very soon are digital microloans.
As the first bank in Asia to achieve a six-peat ‘Best Bank for Digital’ title by Euromoney, RCBC is set to amplify, elevate, and redefine digital banking for the rest of 2026 with much-awaited innovative features to be unveiled very soon.
Powered by the bank’s powerful data analytics and contextual customer approaches, these updates are crafted with the human experience in mind and designed to help every Filipino reach their fullest potential no matter who they are, where they are, and when they need banking.
RCBC ATM Go is also expanding its presence by embedding ATM Go into trusted community-based partners, particularly money service businesses (MSBs). Through this ecosystem approach, everyday financial services become available in familiar locations, extending the Bank’s reach to rural and remote areas across the country.
