The Rizal Commercial Banking Corp. (RCBC) garnered four major accolades from leading regional and global award-giving bodies in recognition of its innovation, customer-centric solutions, and operational excellence.

These awards include: Philippines Domestic Payroll Initiative of the Year at the Asian Banking & Finance Wholesale Banking Awards; Best Payroll Solutions 2025 in the Philippines at the Global Banking & Finance Awards; Remittance Company of the Year at the Asian Banking & Finance Retail Banking Awards; and, Best Cash Management Bank in the Philippines by The Asian Banker.

RCBC Transaction Banking Group head Martin Tirol attributed this prestigious haul to the bank’s commitment to building an integrated suite of solutions that supports the evolving needs of businesses and communities across the country.

“Our focus has always been to enable our corporate clients to better manage collections, payments, and liquidity. We continue to invest in platforms and partnerships that make transactions faster, safer, and more convenient — helping businesses thrive in an increasingly digital and interconnected economy,” Tirol said.

As part of this commitment, RCBC has transformed its cash management capabilities by introducing innovative tools such as in-office Cash Cube Machines and remote check scanners, allowing real-time crediting and eliminating delays caused by manual deposits.

RCBC’s efforts in modernizing payroll processes have also yielded substantial gains. Through its Digital Payroll Portal (DPP), onboarding is now completed within 24 hours, and companies can choose flexible payroll card delivery options that better suit their workforce.

These improvements resulted to a 248-percent surge in payroll company enrollments, a leap in digital account openings from four percent to 20-percent year-on-year, and a 21-percent growth in the total payroll base.

Employees also benefit from immediate account activation through RCBC ATMs and ATMGo terminals and full account access via RCBC Pulz, the bank’s retail digital banking app.

In addition, RCBC’s remittance business continues to expand its global reach, with partnerships with key players such as Visa, Digital Wallet (Japan), Gmoney Trans (Korea), and BC Remit UK. The bank’s fully digital, branchless onboarding solution, which is now available in 35 countries, has made it easier for overseas Filipinos to open accounts and manage their finances remotely.

“At the end of the day, it is all about meeting our customers where they are and making banking easier for them,” Tirol pointed out.

Currently the 5th largest bank in the country, RCBC remains a strong player in the financial services industry. Through its comprehensive Transaction Banking solutions - from efficient retail and corporate cash management services to robust trade and supply financing and innovative payment and remittance services, the bank continues to strengthen its role as a trusted partner for corporate and institutional clients.
