MANILA, Philippines – Senate President Francis “Chiz” Escudero said on Thursday, April 3, that they are studying the legalities of issuing a subpoena to the members of the Marcos Cabinet to compel them to attend the hearing on the arrest of former president Rodrigo Duterte.
Escudero said he has referred the matter to the Senate’s legal department for recommendation, cautious not to cause a constitutional crisis if the legislative branch clashes with the executive.
