MANILA, Philippines — “Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition” Season 1 housemate Ralph de Leon had a witty response to his viral “Tonight, tonight” meme after his segment hosting gig at last night’s Miss Universe Philippines 2026 coronation.

The actor was among the segment hosts tapped for the highly anticipated beauty pageant finale held at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

The star-studded lineup of segment hosts included his fellow actors Marco Gumabao and Jake Cuenca, the latter with his rumored girlfriend, Miss Universe Philippines 2020 Rabiya Mateo. Miss Universe 2025 first runner-up and Thai beauty queen Veena Praveenar and Miss Universe Philippines 2022 Celeste Cortesi, whose baby bump was visible, were also among the segment hosts.

Ralph was set to introduce Miss Universe Philippines 2025 Ahtisa Manalo for her final walk before she handed over her crown.

Ralph, however, got stuck saying “Tonight” as an intro to his spiel three times due to a technical blunder. He succeeded on the fourth try.

“Fourth time’s a charm,” Ralph said as he continued with the rest of his spiel.

Ahtisa then strutted across the Miss Universe Philippines stage, and a few minutes later, she crowned frontrunner and La Union representative Bea Millan-Windorski as Miss Universe Philippines 2026 before midnight.

After the technical mishap, Ralph was unsurprisingly turned into a meme. Among those who had a snappy comment was popular content creator Senyora, known for her snarky remarks.

“I think hindi kaya tonight… tomorrow na lang,” wrote Senyora on Facebook.

Ralph saw the comment and even reposted Senyora’s post.

“Di naman tayo umabot ng tomorrow,” Ralph replied.

Bea will represent the Philippines at the diamond edition of Miss Universe in Puerto Rico later this year.

The Miss Universe Philippines Organization has yet to announce the other placements and titles for the remaining Top 7. Announcement of placements is expected in the coming days.
