A radio blocktimer of DWIZ in Legazpi City was shot by an unidentified gunman in Guinobatan, Albay on Monday morning .
The victim was identified as Noel Samar, who started his own programming through the Facebook social media page before shifting to radio.
Samar, who was shot while riding his motorcycle, was immediately rushed to Josefina Belmonte Duran Albay Provincial Hospital in Ligao City and was transferred to Bicol Regional Hospital Medical Center, formerly the Bicol Regional Training and Teaching Hospital, in Legazpi City for a thorough medical treatment.
Samar, popularly known as Mr. Bullseye in his program, was shot along the National Highway in Barangay Morera, Guinobatan town in Albay at around 9:14 a.m. on Monday.
The Guinobatan town police personnel is currently conducting a manhunt operation against the suspect.
