MANILA, Philippines — Because of its strict compliance and active implementation of the policies for a safe and drug-free workplace, the Provincial Government of Quezon and the Quezon Provincial Hospital Network (QPHN) received the Drug-Free Workplace Certification last June 22 in accordance with the DDB Board Regulation No. 13, Series of 2018.

IA III Erwin Magpantay, Provincial Officer of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, led the awarding ceremony, with Quezon Gov. Dr. Helen Tan personally receiving the certification together with the members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan.

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and the Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) also cited the 15 public hospitals under the Quezon Provincial Hospital Network — the Quezon Medical Center, QPHN-Infanta, Polillo, Sampaloc, Mauban, Candelaria, Unisan, Catanauan, San Francisco, San Narciso, Alabat, Atimonan, Gumaca, Lopez and the Guinayangan — for their compliance to the policies set by DDB.

Gov. Tan, a physician, recognizes the commitment and support of all the agencies and individuals that helped the province get the certification.

Meanwhile, USEC Abad H. Osit, Permanent Board Member ng Dangerous Drugs Board, emphasized the need to continue the implementation of the programs for the “drug-free workplace” status as part of the bigger campaign against illegal drugs.

The Drug-Free Workplace Certification is the reflection of unwavering commitment to fostering a safe, orderly, and disciplined work environment for all government employees.
