The newly-opened tennis courts and skatepark in the Quezon Memorial Circle.
Quezon City Government
MANILA, Philippines — The Quezon City government has opened the new competition-standard skate park and public tennis courts at the Quezon Memorial Circle.
In a statement yesterday, Mayor Joy Belmonte said the new sports and recreation facilities reflect the city’s commitment to safer and more inclusive spaces for the public.
“We want our young people to have safe, high-quality spaces where they can stay active, express themselves, develop their talents and build meaningful connections with others,” Belmonte said.
Although originally envisioned to be a recreational venue, the 3,758-square-meter skate park was upgraded into a competition-standard facility that can host organized events and tournaments.
According to city hall, its design was developed by E-Sports International in collaboration with Filipino skateboarders “to ensure an authentic riding experience that supports smooth flow across both street- and park-style disciplines.”
