MANILA, Philippines — Savi Davison picked up where she left off and dropped 29 points as PLDT nabbed the bronze medal in the PVL Invitational Conference after outlasting Creamline, 25-20, 20-25, 25-21, 25-22, on Tuesday at Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Davison delivered 26 kills and three aces and had another stellar defensive night with 15 digs and 13 excellent receptions.
The reigning Invitational MVP capped PLDT’s comeback in the fourth from a 15-18 deficit, scoring the game-winning kill off Jaja Santiago-Minowa’s hands.

On Sunday, Davison set a new career-high 37 points to drag Creamline to the bronze medal game.
The High Speed Hitters may have missed the finals, but they won their second straight bronze this year after last season’s All-Filipino Conference.
“Definitely, we learned a lot from this conference. That’s really what was demanded of us—to always show up and play almost perfectly if we wanted to achieve our biggest goal,” said PLDT coach Rald Ricafort in Filipino.
“We’ll definitely carry those lessons into the next conference. We want to build on the momentum and continue working hard, but we’re also very happy that we’ve finished third in the last two conferences.”
Jovy Prado continued her resurgence with 12 points and 15 excellent receptions. Kianna Dy chipped in 10 points, as Mika Reyes added eight points.
Creamline, which started the tournament with three straight wins, lost three consecutive games and ended up in fourth place.
Minowa had 19 points from 13 kills, three blocks, and three aces. Jema Galanza tallied 16 points and nine digs. Tots Carlos and Ishie Lalongisip added 11 and 10 points, respectively.
