PVL on Tour: Nxled downs Galeries for back-to-back wins

MANILA, Philippines — Nxled swept Galeries Tower, 25-23, 25-23, 25-20, to book its second straight 2026 PVL on Tour win on Saturday at Polomolok Gymnasium in South Cotabato.

Gel Cayuna’s playmaking continued to work wonders for the Chameleons, orchestrating a balanced attack with 16 excellent sets on top of four points as they carried the momentum from their first win over Capital1 last week in Vigan City.

Myla Pablo led the way anew with 14 points on a 13-of-30 attacking clip. EJ Cariño and MJ Phillips had nine points each, while Jonah Escamillan added six points and six excellent receptions, with every player — except the libero — scoring at least a point.

The Chameleons had to overcome the grit of the HighRisers in tight encounters in the first two sets before dominating the third to finish the game after an hour and 44 minutes.

Nxled caps its preseason in Lanao Del Norte on August 15 against Farm Fresh.

Galeries absorbed its first loss of the preseason, missing the chance to extend its run after beating Farm Fresh in Batangas last July 11.

No.1 overall pick Lams Lamina sat out the match, while Julia Coronel continued to be the main playmaker with 19 excellent sets. Erika Deloria had 13 points, 16 receptions, and seven digs, while Jean Asis nailed five blocks to finish with 11 points.

Galeries faces Creamline on August 22 in Victorias City.
