MANILA, Philippines — Dawn Macandili-Catindig has fortified the floor defense of Choco Mucho, teaming up with four-time Best Libero Thang Ponce ahead of the new Premier Volleyball League (PVL) season.
The Flying Titans on Wednesday morning welcomed Catindig and spiker Jewel Encarnacion, who came from the defunct Cignal Super Spikers.

Catindig brings her experience and leadership to the Flying Titans after winning Best Libero awards both in the local and international leagues.
The ace libero was part of Alas Pilipinas’ solid run in the past two years, with four bronze medals in the SEA V.League and a silver medal finish in last year’s AVC Women’s Cup. She’s also a three-peat champion in the UAAP and a Finals MVP for La Salle.
It will be Catindig’s third PVL team since F2 Logistics’ disbandment in 2023 and Cignal’s leave of absence, just days after their runner-up finish in the 2026 All-Filipino Conference.

Encarnacion, who was drafted by Galeries two years ago and joined Cignal last season, chose Choco Mucho to continue her growth as a pro player.
The former University of the Philippines spiker provided quality plays off the bench for the Super Spikers.
Choco Mucho, which has missed the playoffs since last year’s All-Filipino, will select No. 3 in the upcoming PVL Rookie Draft on June 3 at Novotel.
