At the end of every year comes the much-awaited Christmas parties. For us, that happened on Dec. 19.
Dressed in glittery outfits, the entire Pulp Group gathered for a night full of holiday cheer. With a photo booth near the entrance, a long stretch of tables and comfortable couches by the side, an open bar across the venue, and a platform in the middle, the Pulp Group 2025 Christmas party was festive all around.
The party kicked off with an icebreaker: the classic Bring Me where attendees were tasked to bring a variety of items ranging from 10 P1 coins and a mini calendar to an ongoing video call with a family member across 10 rounds. Prizes were just as entertaining, with wittily named packages containing packs of pancit canton for “PC set,” toiletries for “Staycation,” and even a set of clothes hangers for “Clothes Package.”

Afterwards, the program officially began with an opening prayer and a set of opening remarks by Grace Glory Go and Vernon Go. The buffet for dinner opened as a video montage of Pulp Group’s memories throughout the year played in the background to today’s biggest pop songs, alongside special intermission performances by Pulp Music Group members and company newbies.

Following dinner was a game that had the Pulp Group up and on their feet. First was the classic favorite by Happee Sy-Go that remains a staple throughout every Pulp Christmas Party: The Boat Is Sinking. With over 20 players participating, only two winners won the prize.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from Pulp.
Then came the raffle draw and Secret Santa. While the raffle draw was done using scratch cards that indicated either one’s failing to win or a number that was assigned to a random gift, the Secret Santa portion had the Pulp Group exchanging gifts among each other in an exciting flurry of activity. Company service awards were distributed next, each one recognizing long-term staff members from five years until a momentous 30 years of service with the company.
Finally, it was time for the much-awaited Lady Santa segment, where Happee became every Pulp staff member’s Lady Santa, personalized to each staff member’s wishes. Each staff member came forward upon being called to receive their gifts, alongside a box of tasty lengua each.
To wrap up the event, individually-awarded special awards were given out to chosen staff members who were voted into categories such as Man of the Night, Woman of the Night, Best Dressed, and Favorite Co-worker, followed by closing remarks by Happee and a round of photos to commemorate the evening. Winter and London Go even played an exciting round of the sandok pera challenge where London won big.
Just as everybody thought the party was over, then came a last game of Pera or Bayong following a series of multiple-choice questions that helped narrow down the participants. With each bayong containing a major prize like Dyson Fan or large TVs, among others, it was an exciting moment all around as the game winner made their choice and took home a 55” TV!
All in all, it was a memorable night and year-end where the holiday spirit made itself felt to everybody present. There were smiles on everyone’s faces and nobody left empty-handed, and we are excited to see how the holiday season and the new year treat everybody.
