PUERTO GALERA, Oriental Mindoro — Mayor Rocky Ilagan and the tourism stakeholders of Puerto Galera are gearing up for the influx of tourists this summer, ensuring that the town remains a top destination for both local and international visitors.
Despite a decline in the Chinese market, the surge of Korean and European tourists has helped offset the losses in the industry last year, the mayor said.
The municipality has been actively promoting Puerto Galera at travel marts, while online marketing ef-forts continue to attract travelers.
For the coming Holy Week break, the island resort town is set to host a grand beach party featuring well-known bands, adding to the vibrant summer experience.
The Public Information Office has been activated to disseminate timely updates and ensure smooth coordination.
