The Provincial Government of Quezon has achieved the highest audit rating from the Commission on Audit (COA) for the fourth straight year.

The provincial government said this is a testament to its “honest, clean, and efficient financial management”.

Based on the Independent Auditor’s Report, COA stated that the financial statements of the Quezon Provincial Government for 2025 fairly present and comply, in all material respects, with the International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSASs).

Quezon Gov. Doctor Helen Tan said the achievement underscores the provincial government’s focus on transparency, accountability, and the effective use of public funds for health programs, infrastructure and social services.

The “Unqualified Opinion,” also known as a Clean Opinion, is granted by the COA only when a government agency is able to submit complete, accurate, and error-free financial statements without any material misstatements.

The audit covered the statement of financial position, financial performance, cash flows, and the comparison of budget and actual amounts for the year ending December 31, 2025.

Despite the challenges in the public sector, the Provincial Government of Quezon assures the public that it will continue to uphold this level of excellence in order to maintain public trust and continuously deliver “Genuine and Natural Service” to every Quezonian. (Contributed story)
