Priscilla Meirelles clarified that she and John Estrada are still married.
The Miss Earth 2004 queen said this on Friday’s “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,” but she did not answer if they are staying together.
“Legally, we’re still married,” Priscilla said.
Priscilla reiterated that she was not aware of John’s post back in July 2024 that said they “agreed to take a break.”
“I don’t know, maybe kung nag-decide siya sa side niya na take a break,” she said.
Priscilla then assured that she is currently at peace, has joy from within, and that she’s having a great time focusing on herself.
“I’m investing time on myself health-wise, you know, physical health, mental health. I have a wonderful relationship with my daughter, and whatever happens in terms of what is my status right now, all I can say is that technically, I’m still married,” she said.
When asked if she’s still fighting for her marriage, Priscilla said, “I’m in a point in my life that [pinaglalaban] ko ‘yung sarili ko.”
She added that what’s important is her happiness and peace of mind.
“I went back to loving myself, which was lost for many years. And I’m not blaming anyone, it’s basically my fault that I got to a point where I was not loving myself anymore. So today, I can say that, oh my gosh, I have so much love because I love myself first. Of course, God, me, and then I have so much love to share.”
John and Priscilla got married in 2011. They have one daughter named Samantha Anechka, who was born in 2012.
During the interview, she also shared what she advises Anechka, who is now 13 years old.
“‘Yung sasabihin ko kay Anechka, palagi actually po, is that she needs to love herself. After God, it’s her,” she said.
Priscilla also reminders her daughter to make sure that her boundaries and standards are well met, and she should always communicate what she expects from others.
“Always make sure that, you know, they come halfway and she goes halfway. Because ‘yung pag-ibig, Tito Boy, you know, ‘yung parang selfless love, that’s not actually healthy. So she needs to make sure that, you know, when she [loves], meron ding love na binigay sa kaniya.”
