PrimeWater Infrastructure Corp., in partnership with the Bacolod City Water District (Baciwa), has boosted water supply in Bacolod City with an additional 3 million liters per day (MLD) through the newly activated Matab-ang Water Treatment Plant located in Barangay Granada.
This development aims to help meet the growing water demand in the city as the plant's capacity is expected to double to 6 MLD within the year, further enhancing service coverage.
The initial output is set to benefit approximately 5,000 households in key areas of Bacolod, including Barangay 27, 28, 30, Estefania, Villamonte and Mandalagan.
"This project is just one of several initiatives we are undertaking with Baciwa to ensure a more stable and reliable water supply for our consumers," PrimeWater said in a statement.
The water treatment project includes a 1-kilometer transmission line connecting the plant to a 2.6-million-gallon reservoir in Loygoy.
