MANILA, Philippines — Motorists face another sharp increase in pump prices on Tuesday, April 7, with diesel rising by as much as P18.80 per liter, gasoline by up to P4.90 at major stations, and kerosene by P8.10, based on announcements from oil firms.
Based on prevailing Metro Manila retail prices between March 31 and April 6 from the Department of Energy, the common diesel prices stood at P128.80 per liter, with an overall range of P110 to P144.90.
That means Tuesday’s announced increases could push diesel prices at some stations to around P146.75 to P147.60 per liter, based on the Seaoil and Petron adjustments.
As for gasoline, a P4.90-per-liter increase at Petron and Seaoil would push the last RON95 benchmark to about P99.20 per liter, while Jetti’s later P5.40 hike points to further upward pressure later in the week.
