MANILA, Philippines — President Marcos gave a bouquet of vegetables to First Lady Liza Marcos as they marked their 33rd wedding anniversary yesterday.

Marcos also turned over P15.79 million worth of farm inputs and equipment to 45 farmer cooperatives and associations in Benguet as part of the government’s assistance to vulnerable sectors affected by the Middle East conflict.

The First Lady shared their photos on social media, including a picture of the President holding a bouquet of vegetables inside a car.

In her post she said: “After 33 years, it’s the quiet gestures that stay with you.”

“I’ve received many beautiful bouquets, but this one felt especially meaningful… chosen by my husband himself, straight from the market,” Liza said.

“Simple, thoughtful and full of love. Ang sweet Talaga ng asawa ko – double brownie points!” she said.In his social media post, Marcos thanked his wife for standing with him “through every season.”

“Through every season, in family, in work and in everything in between, we have walked it together,” the President wrote.

“You have been my constant. Steady, wise and always looking after our family, while never losing sight of others,” Marcos told the First Lady.

“Happy anniversary, Liza. Thank you for the life we have built together,” Marcos said, ending his message with a heart emoji.

The First Couple earlier posted on social media photos of their dinner date at the Finestra restaurant in Solaire last Saturday. “Sometimes it’s just nice to slow down and enjoy each other’s company.  No noise. Just us,” she wrote in a Facebook post.

The First Couple tied the knot at the San Francesco Convent in Fiesole, Italy on April 17, 1993.
