MANILA, Philippines — Public relations firm Comm&Sense Inc. and influencer marketing company Blogapalooza Inc. have joined forces to launch "House of Talk," a dynamic production partnership designed to transform the Philippine podcast landscape by creating safe spaces for authentic dialogue and amplifying voices that have long deserved to be heard.
The partnership is a first of its kind in both the public relations and influencer industries, marking a significant milestone as Blogapalooza celebrates its 10th year and Comm&Sense its 20th. The collaboration looks to leverage the PR firm’s public relations expertise and production excellence as well as Blogapalooza’s community-building across the Philippine creator landscape.
“People don’t want sanitized versions of life anymore. They want real conversations about real struggles. ‘House of Talk’ delivers exactly that, and these podcasts are spaces where people can be their full, complicated selves, and that’s where genuine community is built,” said Jaeger Tanco, CEO of Comm&Sense.
“House of Talk” was launched in response to market data about current media habits and preferences of young Filipinos. Results of the PR firm’s study, Common Ground: Pinoy Voices in New Media, reveal a shift in what Gen X and Millennial audiences value in the content they consume.
They prioritize authenticity, integrity, and relatability, core values that foster trust and emotional connection. This validates “House of Talk’s” focus on authentic storytelling and relatable creators over celebrity glamor.
The study also shows that “listening” is now the second most popular media activity among Gen X and Millennials, with strong engagement on Spotify (32%) and YouTube Music (28%).
For Charlotte Reyes, managing director of Comm&Sense, “House of Talk” “represents Comm& Sense’s evolution from storyteller to platform-builder.
“We’re not just amplifying voices anymore — we’re giving those voices the microphone, the stage, and the ownership. That’s the future of Filipino media, and we’re building it today.”
Ace Gapuz, President and CEO of Blogapalooza, noted that through the partnership Blogapalooza is creating a platform where creators can evolve into storytellers.
“We are living in a time where creators are no longer just amplifiers of messages. They are actually the storytellers themselves. They are the bearers of messages. They are educators, they are followers, they are media entities in their own right.”
“House of Talk” is set to launch with two powerful podcasts. “Mothers Mothering” strips away the Instagram-perfect facade of parenthood to explore the real, complicated experiences of Filipino mothers, from generational trauma and financial anxiety to biyenan dynamics and the pressure of parental expectations. The podcast is hosted by Maite Cruz, MM Belarmino-Ferrer, and Mama Jecka Tinio.
The LGBTQIA+ community gets representation in “Slay Belles”. Hosted by Tiktok Drama Queen Robic Villanueva, Drag Queen na Pogi Muah Dayaw, and Chen “Chennyboil Malaluan, the colorful podcast tackles everything from dating app culture and workplace discrimination to mental health struggles, and chosen families.
Other shows are in various stages of development and will be launched in the coming months in House of Talk’s online platforms in Spotify, YouTube, Facebook and Tiktok.
