San Jose, Occidental Mindoro — The Occidental Mindoro Electric Cooperative Inc (Omeco) has scheduled power interruptions for two days from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, March 29, and Sunday, March 30, due to substation maintenance work in towns of San Jose and Magsaysay.
The areas affected in San Jose are Barangay 4-8, Rizal Street, Public Market, Westmin Hospital, MOMMG Medical Plaza, portion of Bonifacio Street, Lopez Bakery, Liboro Street, Pandurucan and the old barangay hall of San Roque.
Also affected are the sea breeze, Barangay Caminawit, Zapanta Maternity and General Hospital, Seminario Area, Malvar Street, portion of M.H Del Pilar Street, Mabini Street, Agoncillo Street, Ralleta, Barangay Mabini, Mangarin, Ilin, Ambulong Island, Labangan Poblacion and a portion of Teachers' Village.
The nearby town of Magsaysay will also be affected by the power interruptions.
The power outage is due to the annual preventive maintenance and testing of a National Power Corporation (NAPOCOR) substation and the construction of a 69kv line from NPC Magbay to Omeco Labangan substation.
