Portion of Aquino Bridge in Tarlac City collapses amid heavy rains

TARLAC CITY — The middle portion of the Aquino Bridge in Tarlac City collapsed before midnight on Friday, Aug. 28, following heavy rains brought by the southwest monsoon or habagat. Tarlac was placed under a red rainfall warning on Friday, according to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC). The bridge connects Tarlac
