PLDT Global Corp., the international unit of PLDT Inc., is teaming up with a leading recruitment agency for Filipinos working abroad to expand access to connectivity and support services via the Tindahan ni Bossing (TinBo) platform.
In a statement, PLDT Global said it is collaborating with Staffhouse International Resources to provide exclusive benefits for overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) through its mobile application.
“We are thrilled to collaborate with Staffhouse to bring digital convenience and seamless access to the global Filipino workforce at every level of their journey,” PLDT Global President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Albert Villa-Real said.
“TinBo is more than just an app; it’s a lifeline that connects OFWs to their loved ones and essential services back home,” he added.
TinBo, powered by PLDT Global, is a one-stop online marketplace where overseas Filipinos can access services catered to address their connectivity, bill payments, digital banking, entertainment, and gifting needs.
Under the collaboration, OFWs deployed by Staffhouse who download and register on the TinBo app will receive a free six-month subscription to Smart Virtual Number (SVN).
SVN allows OFWs to maintain a Philippine virtual number, receive calls and texts at local rates, access government hotlines for free, and receive one-time passwords (OTPs) from e-wallets, banks, and other apps.
PLDT Global will also grant an mWell Health Pass voucher worth ₱399.
Staffhouse Chief Strategy Officer Rocky Dela Vega said teaming up with PLDT Global aligned with the agency’s track record of providing opportunities to Filipino workers abroad, even after deployment.
“Our partnership with PLDT Global underscores our commitment to providing ethical recruitment and comprehensive support to Filipino workers,” said Dela Vega.
“By integrating TinBo into our pre-departure orientation seminar, we ensure that our recruits are not only prepared for their new roles but also have the tools they need to stay connected and manage their finances effectively,” she explained.
Based on its website, Staffhouse has deployed over 40,000 workers across the globe.
