Question, will my landline connected to PLDT fibr GPON router still work if I request my router to be set to bridge mode?

I plan on buying and using 3rd party router (tp link AX53) for my wireless and LAN devices, and request PLDT support to bridge mode my pldt router (GPON AN5506-04-FA)
