When it comes to aesthetics, the Philippine passport is surely at the top of the game!
In an Instagram post, the contemporary culture and lifestyle company Hypebeast released a list of what they concert the most aesthetic passports in the world, and it included the Philippines.
Hypebeast highlighted the “iconic Philippine eagle” design printed on its flip cover.
“After Switzerland unveiled its newly designed passport, we rounded up some of the best-designed passports from around the world,” it began.
“From Norway’s UV-reactive landscapes to Japan’s ukiyo-e art, the Philippines’ iconic Philippine eagle, New Zealand’s sleek black cover, and more — these passports set the bar for design,” Hypebeast added.
Aside from the Philippines, other countries included in the list are Norway, Canada, Hong Kong, Japan, Finland, New Zealand, Hungary and Belgium.
At least our passport ranks high on design, right? According to the latest Henley Passport Index, the Philippine passport ranks 75th globally, slipping two spots lower from its 2024 rank.
The Philippines’ current ranking allows passport holders to visit 67 destinations visa-free, as of July 2024
Meanwhile, Singapore remains as the most powerful passport in the world, per the Henley Passport Index report.
