Philippine government debt rises to P18.16 trillion in February

MANILA, Philippines — The national government’s outstanding debt inched up to P18.16 trillion in February, as slightly higher domestic borrowings offset a decline in external loans. According to the Bureau of the Treasury (BTr), the sovereign debt at end-February was up 0.14 percent from the previous month. “The modest uptick underscores the government’s stable and well-managed
