MANILA, Philippines–The PBA will hold five exhibition games in Luzon this month while the season-ending Governors’ Cup is on hiatus due to Gilas Pilipinas’ international duties.
Bulacan, Isabela, Batangas and Ilocos Sur are going to serve as sites for the series dubbed “PBA on Tour” to also help teams prepare for the conference’s restart on Oct. 7.

NLEX and Blackwater kick off the caravan on Sept. 9 in San Jose del Monte, Bulacan before heading to Isabela for back-to-back games.
San Miguel Beer plays Phoenix on Sept. 12 in Ilagan before Meralco and Converge take their turn the following day in Santiago City.
Batangas City hosts the following exhibition on Sept. 19 with a matchup pitting NLEX and Magnolia before the “On Tour” concludes on Sept. 26 in Candon, Ilocos Sur featuring TNT against Rain or Shine.
Teams have been allowed to field their practice players, given that the “On Tour” games are “merely tune-ups.”
The league last played on Aug. 14 before allowing teams to take a respite as Gilas played the recent fourth window of the Fiba World Cup Asian Qualifiers and the upcoming Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games.
Some teams have recently resumed practices in preparation for the resumption of the Governors’ Cup.
