PBA: TNT bounces back from NLEX loss, dominates Titan Ultra

MANILA, Philippines–TNT returned to the win column in dominant fashion, routing Titan Ultra, 114-80, in the 2026 PBA Governors’ Cup at Ynares Sports Center in Montalban on Saturday.

The Tropang 5G recovered from a tough loss at the hands of NLEX on Tuesday to improve to a 4-3 record in Group A.

“We really made a concerted effort on defense. Even if we lost to NLEX, I thought we played great defense, we just weren’t able to put enough points on the board without Jordan (Heading) and Roger (Pogoy) in that game,” coach Chot Reyes said.

“Thankfully tonight, we had both of them in, Brandon (Ganuelas-Rosser) is slowly coming into shape, Poy (Erram) gave us quality minutes. It was a big thing that we almost have a complete complement at our disposal today.”

TNT’s wire-to-wire win over the Giant Risers began when the Tropang 5G wreaked havoc in the opening period, scoring 34 points in the process while Titan only had 21.

Heading, who returned from a shoulder injury, finished with a game-high 23 points that went with five assists and two rebounds for TNT. Ganuelas-Rosser scored 19 while import Rahlir Hollis-Jefferson notched a double-double of 19 points and 12 rebounds in the win.

Titan Ultra turned to import Tirrell Brown, who finished with 14 points and 11 rebounds in the loss. Jerrick Balanza and Bryan Sajonia added 13 points each for the Giant Risers, who dropped to their sixth loss in eight games.
