MANILA, Philippines — Several towns in Pangasinan suspended classes because of the heat index in the area.
Dagupan City, which tallied a heat index of 45 degrees Celsius, announced the suspension of classes in all levels in all public and private schools, according to Mayor Belen Fernandez.
The towns of Manaoag, Bautista, and San Carlos also suspended classes in all public and private schools.
Mangaldan announced the suspension of classes early Tuesday, through an executive order signed by Mayor Bona Fe De Vera Parayno.
Urdaneta only suspended face-to-face classes in all levels, public and private.

Mapandan will only hold modular classes for the day.
In Malasiqui, however, classes are going to be in a hybrid set-up, with regular morning classes, but modular learning in the afternoon in all public schools.

- San Jacinto, Pangasinan (blended learning: adjusted morning class hours, from 7 - 11 am, modular/distance learning in the afternoon, all levels, public only)
- San Carlos, Pangasinan (all levels, public & private)
- Labrador, Pangasinan (all levels, public only)
- San Fabian, Pangasinan (no afternoon face-to-face classes, all levels, public only)
- Basista, Pangasinan (no face-to-face afternoon classes, up to senior high school, public & private)
- Santa Barbara, Pangasinan (no afternoon face-to-face classes, up to senior high school, public only)
- Bayambang, Pangasinan (no afternoon face-to-face classes, up to senior high school, public only)
- Rosales, Pangasinan (no afternoon face-to-face classes, all levels, public & private)
