PAL operates the Manila-Seattle routes with a Boeing 777-300ER, which can carry 370 passengers — 42 in business class and 328 in economy. The increase in flight frequency will also allow the airline to increase cargo capacity up to 40 tons per week between the two cities.

The announcement comes just months after the flag carrier launched the Manila-Seattle route last October 2024.

PAL noted there is “growing travel demand to and from the US West Coast and beyond.”

“Our decision to increase frequencies to Seattle highlights the importance of the US market to the Philippines Airlines global network, and in particular the great vale of Seattle as a gateway, not just to the Washington and Oregon areas, but to cities across the United States that we can now serve through our ongoing partnership with Alaska Airlines,” said Nuttall.
