TO combat the proliferation of illegal online gaming sites and protect players, the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. (Pagcor) launched the “Pagcor Guarantee” website, which contains a list of legitimate gaming providers on June 18.
“This new website will help our players easily identify and verify whether the online gaming sites are duly licensed before playing or making any payments,” said Pagcor Chairman and CEO Alejandro Tengco.
“By providing the public with a quick and accessible way to check a site’s legitimacy, we are empowering them to make informed decisions and avoid falling victim to fraudsters and scammers,” he added.
The website (www.Pagcor.ph/Pagcorguarantee) contains a list of licensed and legitimate internet gaming platforms regulated by Pagcor. Players can directly access the verified sites through the said page.
Tengco further emphasized that this is part of Pagcor’s strengthened campaign for safe and responsible online gaming amid rising complaints from the public regarding suspicious operators.
