MANILA, Philippines — Shabu with an estimated street value of P2.17 million was seized from two drug suspects in Iloilo City on Monday night.
The suspects, identified only as Tang Tang and Bebe, allegedly yielded 320 grams of shabu following a sting in Barangay Tanza Bonifacio, according to Brig. Gen. Josefino Ligan, Western Visayas police director.
Ligan said the suspects have criminal records. He said that Tang Tang had served jail time for robbery, while Bebe had been convicted in a drug-related case.
The suspects were collared after they allegedly sold an undetermined amount of shabu to police undercover agents.
Aside from the illegal substance, probers said the suspects yielded drug paraphernalia and the marked money.
