ILOILO CITY — Authorities arrested two drug pushers here, three in Butuan City and three in Negros Occidental as the Philippine National Police continued its relentless campaign against illegal drugs.
A police anti-drug operation in Brgy. Caranas, Janiuay, Iloilo, on Saturday, March 8, led to the discovery of 155 grams of shabu valued at P1.054 million.
Arrested during the operation were two suspects, both residents of Brgy. Bakhaw, Mandurriao, Iloilo City.

Police Regional Office 6 director BGen. Jack Wanky has ordered the Iloilo Police Provincial Office to conduct further investigation to determine whether the suspects have accomplices involved in illegal drug activities.

"May the arrests of the subjects serve as a reminder to those still engaging in illegal drugs that they cannot hide forever from the long arms of the law," said Wanky.
In Negros Occidental, two suspects were also apprehended on Saturday in Brgy. Enclaro, Binalbagan.
The Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office said the operation resulted in the confiscation of around 55 grams of shabu valued at P374,000.
Butuan City drug bust yields P2.7-M shabu
In Butuan City, authorities seized 400 grams of shabu valued at P2.7 million in a buy-bust on Saturday afternoon in Purok 4, Barangay Holy Redeemer.
The Butuan City Police Office (BCPO) arrested two men and a woman.
Police said the three suspects are in the list of high-value targets in the illegal drug trade.
Seized from the suspects were various-sized plastic sachets containing shabu.
"This arrest reaffirms our commitment to combat illegal drugs," BCPO chief Col. Rommel Villamor said in a press statement.
The suspects are in police custody and facing drug charges, while the confiscated shabu were sent for forensic examination.
