MANILA, Philippines — The Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) brought together over 10,000 runners from over 200 companies and 50 running clubs as it successfully held the #BestLifeRun 2026 Corporate Race on June 7 along Ayala Avenue in Makati City.
Held as part of BPI’s 175th anniversary celebration, the event highlighted the Bank’s continuing commitment to helping Filipinos build better lives, not only through financial empowerment but also through initiatives that promote health, well-being and meaningful human connection.
Through BPI Foundation, part of the proceeds from this year's #BestLifeRun will support livelihood programs for fisherfolk in Sapian, Capiz, continuing the event's tradition of creating meaningful impact beyond the race course.
Now on its third year, #BestLifeRun has grown from an internal employee engagement activity in 2023 into a vibrant gathering of employees, fitness enthusiasts and communities united by a shared commitment to healthier lifestyles.

Runners from various organizations come together in support of health, wellness and active lifestyles.

“Seeing thousands of individuals come together for a shared purpose is a powerful reminder that wellness has the ability to connect people, strengthen communities, and inspire positive change,” said Gina Eala, chief human resources officer at BPI. “As we celebrate BPI’s 175th year, we are encouraged by the growing number of organizations that recognize the value of investing in the well-being of their people.”
Participants competed across the 3km, 5km, 10km, and 21km race categories, with runners of different ages, backgrounds, and fitness levels taking part in a day centered on movement, camaraderie, and personal achievement.
Participants also received race kits and timing chips, while finishers were awarded commemorative shirts and medals that marked their accomplishment at the event.
By encouraging active lifestyles and fostering stronger connections among individuals, workplaces and communities, #BestLifeRun reflects BPI’s continuing efforts to create positive impact beyond banking.
