THE HAGUE, Netherlands – International Criminal Court Deputy Prosecutor Mame Mandiaye Niang sits down with Rappler’s Lian Buan on Friday, February 27, to talk about former Philippine president Rodrigo Duterte’s just-concluded confirmation of charges hearing.
“When people think that they enjoy impunity…I think that they’re extremely confident. But this is also an image that shows that, don’t be overconfident, because the wheel of justice may be slow, but at one point, they can catch up with you,” said Niang, referring to Duterte’s tough rhetoric.
