PALAWAN Express Pera Padala (PEPP), the money remittance arm of the Palawan Group of Companies, recently held a tribute to the tireless efforts and sacrifices of overseas Filipino workers (OFWs).
Recognized by the International Finance Awards as the Most Innovative Remittance Company, PEPP has long been the country's most trusted remittance and pera-padala service.
To give honor to OFWs being its longstanding suki or regular patrons, PEPP launched the first-ever livestreaming of Global Ka-Palawan Awards — a first-of-its-kind recognition program celebrating OFWs as modern-day heroes.
The nomination ran from July 10 to Oct. 10, 2024, and was open to both male and female OFWs who have worked abroad for at least one year in any profession.
Ten grand winners were awarded P100,000 each, while 20 other finalists received P10,000 each as consolation prizes.

"Our OFWs are more than just breadwinners. They are strong pillars of their families — striving to remain resilient even when they miss birthdays and milestones, all for the mission of giving their loved ones a better life. Through the Global Ka-Palawan Awards, we aim to honor their stories, appreciate their sacrifices, and celebrate their unwavering strength. This is also our way of saying thank you for trusting Palawan Express Pera Padala to be part of their journey," Palawan Group of Companies marketing manager Miguel Mangabat said, expressing his admiration for OFWs and their remarkable strength.
