MANILA, Philippines — O!Save, which is partly owned by the Gokongwei owned Group’s multi-format retailer Robinsons Retail Holdings Inc., continues its aggressive nationwide expansion with the opening of its 750th store.

The new store, located in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu, forms part of O!Save’s continued rollout across multiple regions nationwide.

O!Save, a hard discount supermarket chain founded in 2021, serves neighborhood communities with essential food, household and personal care items.

Robinsons Retail holds a stake in O!Save, reflecting its participation in value-oriented grocery retail alongside other formats in its portfolio.

The partnership supports the company’s broader strategy of serving consumers across different price points, particularly in essential categories.

RRHI’s presence in the hard discount store segment, through its strategic investment in O!Save, has also allowed the company to tap into the mass market segment, which it had not previously served.

Robinsons Retail has a total of 2,501 stores as of end-September 2025, consisting of 777 food stores, 1,158 drugstores, 51 department stores, 229 DIY stores and 286 specialty stores.

It also has 2,118 franchised stores of TGP.

The brands under the Robinsons Retail portfolio include Uncle John’s, Shopwise, The Marketplace, Handyman, True Value, No Brand, Daisy Japan, TGP, Southstar Drug, Rose Pharmacy, Toys ”R” Us, as well as Robinsons Supermarket, Easymart and Department Store.

Last year, Robinsons Retail, through subsidiary Robinson’s Supermarket Corp., announced the signing of a share purchase agreement to acquire 100 percent of Premiumbikes Corp. from tycoon Lance Gokongwei for P146.4 million.

Premiumbikes, a leading multi-brand motorcycle retailer, officially became part of Robinsons Retail on Dec. 1, 2025.

“As the business enters this new chapter, we remain committed to preserving the strong partnerships, service culture and trusted reputation that Premiumbikes has built through the years,” Robinsons Retail said.
