Nora Aunor died four days after Pilita Corales and netizens couldn't help but point out the devastating loss for Janine Gutierrez, Lotlot de Leon, Ramon Christopher Gutierrez, and the rest of their family who lost both their mothers and grandmothers within just a week.

"Our deepest condolences to Ramon Christopher Gutierrez, Lotlot de Leon, Janine Gutierrez and siblings who lost their mothers/grandmothers four days apart," wrote content creator Mighty Magulang on Facebook as she noted the deaths of Philippine Entertainment icons.

Meanwhile, YouTuber Kuya Pongkaii commiserated with Janine's loss, saying it's "heartbreaking and shocking news."

"To lose one grandparent is already painful. But to lose two in less than a week? That's a pain only God can comfort," he wrote on Facebook.

On Twitter, a user echoed Kuya Pongkaii's sentiments, saying she "just realized Janine Gutierrez lost both her grandmothers (father’s and mother’s side) on the same week. Our deepest condolences."

Her tweet has earned 16K hearts and has been retweeted more than 2K times.

Pilita is Janine's grandmother on her father's side, Ramon Christopher Gutierrez. She announced her passing last Friday.

Nora, Janine's grandmother on her mother's side, Lotlot de Leon, passed on Wednesday. Janine has yet to issue a statement on the death of the National Artist as of writing.

Lotlot meanwhile, has paid tribute to both her mother and her former mother-in-law on social media.

"She’s the kind of grandmother anyone would wish for. And I know that if she can just give and gift her family with so much more, she would. Everything that belonged to her in a heartbeat she would pass on to those who are precious to her. Her family was her number one," she wrote of Pilita, adding how lucky her children are to receive her love.

Of her mother Nora meanwhile, Lotlot said, "She was a star not only on screen, but in the hearts of many—and stars like hers never stop shining."

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Nora and Pilita's families as they navigate this period of loss.
