Original Pilipino Music icon Noel Cabangon leads the lineup of local artists joining the upcoming "Songs of Hope."
A benefit concert, the event is set on June 5, 8 p.m., at the Music Museum in Greenhills, San Juan City.
Cabangon is a true legend in the Philippine music scene. His journey, from a shy boy borrowing a neighbor's guitar in Rosario, La Union, to becoming a celebrated performer, is a testament to the power of passion and perseverance.
He began his musical career at the tender age of 10, often reluctantly participating in singing contests. Despite his initial shyness, his talent shone through, captivating audiences with his heartfelt performances. He eventually overcame his stage fright, finding his true calling in the vibrant world of music.
From humble beginnings in small folk houses and bars, he steadily built a name for himself, eventually becoming a staple in the local music scene by 1982.

Joining Cabangon on stage are Cye Soriano, Dindo Fernandez, Patricia Ismael, Dindo Caraig, Miles Poblete, Nadj Zablan, Marianne Bermundo and Ima Castro. These talented artists will each bring their unique styles and voices to create an evening of diverse and captivating musical experiences.
