The Noel Bazaar officially kicked off at The Filinvest Tent in Alabang, Muntinlupa City, on Friday, marking 25 years of Christmas shopping for a cause.
According to Vicky Morales' report on "24 Oras" Friday, among those present at the ribbon-cutting ceremony were Cut Unlimited Inc. President and CEO and Noel Bazaar founder Mayose Gozon-Bautista, and GMA Kapuso Foundation EVP and COO Rikki Escudero-Catibog.
Noel Bazaar ambassadors and Sparkle artists AZ Martinez and Skye Chua also graced the event.
"Anything to do that could help people, that could help the charity, 'm willing to volunteer and be a part of it," said Az.
"Love na love ko ang mga bazaar, especially Noel bazaar syempre. Naghahanap tayo ng mga Christmas gift and everything. Not only that, I guess being here is also part of the Kapuso Foundation," said Skye.
The bazaar featured more than 100 stalls of clothes, bags, shoes, accessories, furniture, toys, books, food, and more.
For many, visiting the Noel Bazaar during the festive season has become a yearly tradition.
"Every year talagang napunta kami dito para makita 'yung mga paninda, mga sale, 'yung mga clothes at iba po. Para pang regalo sa Christmas or pang personal din," said Angelica De Mata.
"Kasi di mo naman makita 'yung items dito in the other department store, pang gifts ko 'yan sa mga besties ko," said Lita Lopez
Part of the proceeds of Noel Bazaar will go to the GMA Kapuso Foundation, which is currently focusing its efforts on delivering aid to communities affected by the earthquakes in Cebu and Davao Oriental.
"Pla]ese support Noel Bazaar, which is also supporting GMA Kapuso Foundation. Marami ho tayong gagawing school sa mga nasirang places sa Cebu tsaka Davao, so ang suporta niyo talaga napakalaking bagay," said Escudero-Catibog.
At the GMA Kapuso Foundation stall at the event, shoppers may also donate a set of school supplies to underserved children for the amount of P250.
The Noel Bazaar at The Filinvest Tent, Alabang, will run until October 19. It is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
The bazaar will then transfer to Okada Manila from November 14 to 16 and the World Trade Center on November 26 to 30 before holding its last leg at The Filinvest Tent from December 18 to 21.
For those who wish to support GMA Kapuso Foundation's projects, donations may be made via Metrobank, Land Bank, BDO, Bank of Commerce, UnionBank, PNB, Cebuana Lhuillier, GCash, Lazada, and Shopee. Visit the GMA Kapuso Foundation website for more information.
